Carol Ann (Fagot) Taylor was born on August 7, 1939 to Vince and Mary (Lauby) Fagot in Lexington, NE. Carol died Monday, March 3, 2025 at Heritage Crossing in Geneva, NE, at the age of 85 years.

Carol grew up in Lexington with her three younger brothers: Jim, Bill and Tom. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1957. Then on February 7, 1958, she married Jack Taylor and they had four children: Mike, Steve, Bob and Mary Jeanne. They moved to Geneva in 1969, when Jack became the manager of the Wheelers Store. They enjoyed attending all their children’s activities and summers at Johnson Lake in Lexington.

She was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Geneva. Carol was an Avon lady and District Avon manager, the owner of Shoe Shack, a secretary at a legal office and an insurance agency. She was the manager at Geneva Jewelry when she retired.

She loved knitting, crocheting, sewing and was always creating special gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol enjoyed attending church, gardening, reading and didn’t miss any of her grandkids’ games. Carol and Jack even became “sports fan of the year” one time in the Nebraska Signal. She truly loved to tell everyone about her grandkids’ accomplishments. Carol always said how blessed her life has been to have the family she had, and how grateful she was to have lived it.

Carol is survived by her husband Jack of Geneva, sons Mike (Susie) Taylor of Geneva, Steve (Mary) Taylor of York, Bob (Sheila) of Geneva, son-in-law Alan Bailey of Geneva, grandchildren Daniel (Amber) Taylor of Geneva, Dayle (Derek) Harlow of Geneva, Amy (Drew) Burggraff of Omaha, Katie (Spencer) Bolte of Rome, Italy, Luke (Tayler) Taylor of Lincoln, Zach Taylor (Emi Harase) of Honolulu, HI, Troy Taylor, Stephanie (Jeff) Grant of Forsyth, MO, Roby (Maddie) Taylor of Geneva, Jordyn (Josh) Goding of Lodgepole, NE, Cody Bailey (Andi Shellhase) of Geneva, Kyle Bailey of Geneva, and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Jim (Janes) Lauby of Ruidoso, NM, Bill (Nancy) Fagot of Clearwater, FL, and Tom (Cathy) Fagot of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Mary Fagot, and daughter Mary Jeanne Bailey.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Geneva with the Reverend Father Harlan Waskowiak officiating. Interment will follow at Geneva Public Cemetery. Luncheon will be after interment at Hidden Hills Country Club in Geneva. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 6th, from 5-7 p.m., with a Rosary said at 7 p.m., all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Geneva. Memorials may be directed to Fillmore County Cancer Conquerors or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Geneva.
