Tresa Stenka
Tresa Livingston Stenka, 44, of Grand Island died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center skilled care, following a courageous battle with glioblestoma cancer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. MaryÕs Cathedral in Grand Island. The Rev. Richard Piontkowski will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Mrs. Stenka was born Feb. 15, 1964, in Fremont to Earnie (Bill) and Delores Livingston.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Chris; her children, Brian and his wife, Erin Livingston and Christopher Livingston, all of Fountain, Colo., and Shawn Livingston of Omaha; her parents of Lexington; a sister, Barb Ourada of Glendale, Ariz.; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael Livingston of Hastings, Richard and Linda Livingston of Grand Island and Robert Livingston of Atwater, Calif.
Other survivors are her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Tresa attended Oconto and Lexington schools and received her GED in 1985. On July 15, 1995, she married Christopher Stenka. She worked at the Travelodge Motel and BuckÕs Moving and Storage in Grand Island.
Tresa loved doing things with her family, going to the lake or river camping, was a hard worker and loved life. She also collected unicorns.
